Who Are We?

Worship has resumed, with full Covid precautions in place.

TRACK AND TRACE IS IN OPERATION.  You will be asked to give your name and a contact number so that you may be notified if you have been exposed to Covid in our church, and need to self isolate for 14 days.  PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND OUR CHURCH IF YOU ARE UNWILLING TO GIVE SUCH INFORMATION.

For the time being, during the pandemic, we shall be holding only two Sunday morning services a month, on the first and third Sunday, at which our minister will preach.  Holy Communion, with PPE and Covid precautions, will be on the first Sunday of the month.  Hymns will be played and the words projected but for the time being singing is not permitted.  After service refreshments will not be served.  Worshippers will be asked to leave quietly immediately after the service, without talking to each other.

At Southchurch Park we are a mostly older congregation with fairly traditional taste in worship style and hymns. Our average morning attendance is about 12 people, and we have a very good, friendly, family feeling.  You won’t be lost in a crowd. Everyone is valued, everyone is welcome.  We are in a joint pastorate with the Cornerstone URC in Bournemouth Park Road, with whom we share a minister, Rev Sohail Ejaz.  He preaches at Southchurch Park on the first and third Sunday of the month.

We have a very large, successful Girls’ Brigade at which boys are also welcome.
